VICKSBURG, Miss. (AP) - A breach of cannon etiquette on the cover of the latest visitors guide has prompted the Vicksburg Convention and Visitors Bureau to stop further orders of the publication and remake it.

The cover photograph features two children climbing on the cannon by the Mississippi Welcome Center, which is part of the Vicksburg National Military Park.

Park officials tell the Vicksburg Post that rules forbid the climbing or sitting on monuments.

Visitors Bureau Executive Director Bill Seratt says 50,000 copies of the guide were printed. They are sent to state welcome centers, local visitor centers and by mail to prospective tourists.

After the Visitors Bureau received complaints, Seratt says no more brochures were ordered. He says the present guides will be distributed until the inventory is exhausted.
