Algiers shooting victim dies of his injuries


New Orleans, La. - A man who was shot in Algiers Friday has died of his injuries, according to New Orleans Police Department spokesman Officer Frank Robertson.

The 26-year-old victim was at 8:30 p.m., in the 1700 block of Elizardi Street. No other details were available.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111. Callers may remain anonymous and could receive a cash reward for tips leading to an indictment.
