Police seek man who robbed Bourbon Street shop

FOX 8 received this suspect alert from the New Orleans Police Dept. Monday night:

Perp: b/m, heavy set, dark complexion, scruffy beard, approx. 5'8" tall. Grey t-shirt, black shorts, baseball cap (Black)

On Thursday, July 4, 2013, at approximately 12:35 AM, an unidentified b/m subject entered the Bourbon Clothing Store at 504 Bourbon Street and looked around for a minute. After looking around, the subject stated to the cashier, "This is a robbery, open the register!" After advising the subject that she couldn't open the register, he started pressing buttons on the cash register in an attempt to open the register. With his hand behind his back, the subject informed the cashier that he had a gun. The subject then observed the cashier attempting to move the cash box from the counter he grabbed the box and took an unknown amount of cash and fled the location.
