Pelicans make room for new additions

New Orleans, La. - With the off season additions of Tyreke Evans, Jrue Holiday, Jeff Withey, Anthony Morrow and Greg Stiemsma expected to be officially announced soon, the Pelicans made room for the new faces by cutting ties with several former players.

Today the franchise waived Lance Thomas. The forward started 19 games over the past two seasons, averaging 3.1 points and 2.4 rebounds per game.

The Pelicans also renounced their rights to a trio of players in forward Lou Amundson, guard Xavier Henry and guard Roger Mason, Junior. Mason was the most productive of the three, averaging 5.3 points per game last season.
