WWII Museum session focuses on events of 1943

NEW ORLEANS (AP) - The National WWII Museum plays host to its third series focusing on the war seven decades later with a session dubbed "1943: Victory in the Balance."

The 2013 edition of the conference, scheduled Nov. 21-23, has a lineup of speakers including retired Gen. David Petraeus and three-time Pulitzer Prize winner Rick Atkinson.

The conference's theme centers on the year when the war's outcome was still uncertain and its ultimate cost - in lives, property and suffering - was unknown.
