Woman sought for attempted murder in the French Quarter

New Orleans, La. - The New Orleans Police Department has issued an arrest warrant for a woman police say attacked another woman in the French Quarter.

A spokesperson for the NOPD says 25 year-old Cheralynn Peterson is wanted for attempted second degree murder after she was involved in a physical altercation July 14, 2013 near the intersection of N. Peters and Beinville Street.

Police say Peterson and the victim were involved in a physical altercation at which time Peterson stabbed the victim numerous times. The victim was taken to the hospital with lacerations to her neck, back, shoulder and arm. The victim is in stable condition.

Peterson is approximately 5'07", 5'08" tall with a thin build, dark complexion and a braided hairstyle and my attempt to flee to Houston, Texas.
