'Johny Football' controversy to be addressed at SEC Media Days

New Orleans, La. -

Hoover, Ala. - The SEC Media Days are under way in Hoover, Alabama. LSU speaks Thursday, but it's Texas A&M's turn Wednesday.

It might get bizarre.

Heisman trophy-winning quarterback Johny Manziel is scheduled to field media questions Wednesday morning, and many of those queries will deal with his abrupt and early departure from the Manning's Passing Academy at Nicholls State this past weekend. The camp said "Johny Football" was ill. But ESPN reports indicate Manziel may have been out late partying and thus missed several meetings and other obligations.

ESPN also reports Manziel has apologized to A&M head coach Kevin Sumlin and his staff, although not specifically for what.

The Aggies will face LSU in Baton Rouge Saturday November 23.
