Terrytown, La. - A Terrytown man was arrested Wednesday after undercover investigators discovered him distributing child pornography via the Internet, according to John Bosco, head of the Louisiana Attorney General's High Technology Crime Unit.
Shane Joseph Gainey, 33, who lives in the of 2000 block of South Glencoe Lane, was booked into the Jefferson Parish Jail on four counts of child pornography, including two counts of possession and two counts of distribution. If convicted, Gainey faces up to 20 years in prison on each count.
The Attorney General's High Technology Crime Unit, the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office and U.S. Homeland Security Investigations participated in the investigation.
