City issues Central Business District filming notice

FOX 8 received this news release from the New Orleans Mayor's Office Wednesday evening:
Today, the Mayor's Office of Cultural Economy issued a filming notice to New Orleans businesses and residents in the Central Business District.
On Thursday, July 25th through Friday, July 26th, a production company will be filming scenes near Gravier Street and Picayune Alley and near Gravier Street and Camp Street.
On both Thursday and Friday, from approximately 7am to 9 pm, filming will involve simulated gunfire and special effects explosions. New Orleans law enforcement and fire personnel will be on location to monitor safety.
Uniformed officers will provide intermittent traffic control during filming hours on Camp Street at Poydras Street and on Gravier Street at Camp Street.
Film New Orleans assists productions with the City's permitting process, connects productions with local crew and resources, and facilitates communication between productions and the local community.
In 2012, New Orleans hosted 61 tax credit film projects (TV, films and commercials with budgets over $300,000), with direct spending of $669.8 million. In 2011, the City hosted 46 tax credit projects with an estimated $544 million in direct spending.
