New Orleans, La. -

A movie production unit may have fallen victim to crime Monday when someone towed a replica police car away from the set in the Central Business District.

FOX 8 received this brief advisory from the New Orleans Police Dept. Monday evening:

A Ford Crown Victoria was reported stolen from a movie set in the 300 block of South Rampart. The vehicle is marked as a police car. The vehicle can't be driven and had to have been towed. The vehicle's doors have explosives in them. The explosives make small bullet holes when detonated. [Attached] is a picture of a similar vehicle from the same movie set. Use caution if located....

Police have not identified which movie production was involved.

Late Monday night, NOPD reported that 2nd District officers had actually recovered the vehicle at Soniat and Dryades Street Monday morning. "The vehicle had a flat tire and it was towed to a storage yard in New Orleans East for investigation," reads NOPD's latest advisory.
