Saints linebacker Wilson is out for four weeks with injury

At least one Saints player, wide receiver Saliim Akiem, and one coach had to be treated for damage done by the heat Monday. But linebacker Martez Wilson had a separate and more serious issue.

Even with pads, you can't protect everything. Wilson banged his left arm off Rafael Bush's helmet, trying to make a play on Traveris Cadet. Wilson went down holding the arm. He confirms he suffered a bruised biceps, and expects to be out about four weeks.

Martez also tweeted: Thanks saint fans for the support. With rehab and time I will be back out there soon. #whodat#

Day five of training camp happens Tuesday morning. The gates in Metairie open at 8 a.m., and the session is open to the public, weather permitting.

It's an ending that's still hard to comprehend. But lost in the aftermath of the Saints chaotic loss to the vikings Sunday was the fact that the Vikings still had to kick the extra point.
