Plenty of fans braved the intense heat at Saints training camp in Metairie Tuesday, including first lady Supriya Jindal and her three children, Selia, Shaan and Slade.
Shaan had the chance to soak up some valuable lessons, since he dreams of kicking for the Saints one day.
Jindal's kids no doubt had the best seat in the house, since the breeze is much better when you zip around the practice field on Tom Benson's golf cart. The Saints' owner put 7-year-old Slade in the seat next to him, but allowed Selia and Shaan to hold on to the back of the cart as they circled the field.
Supriya Jindal grew up in Metairie and Baton Rouge, so she says she's a lifelong fan of the Black and Gold. After taking in practice, her assessment is a strong season ahead.
"Let me tell you Saints fans, they look great out there," says Jindal. "What a fabulous representative of our city and country. The Saints are wonderful people on and off the field, led by great team owners in Tom and Gayle Benson. We're lifelong fans, and we love seeing our team go out there and win one for Louisiana."
The Jindals met Sean Payton after practice and collected autographs from the players.
