Police seek person of interest in 7th Ward Murder

FOX 8 received this news release from the New Orleans Police Dept. Thursday evening:

NOPD's Homicide division is asking the public's assistance in identifying the man seen in the photograph; he may have critical information about the shooting death of 30-year-old Samuel Bryant, which happened Sunday July 28, 2013 around 3:30am in the 2200 block of Saint Bernard Avenue. 

Bryant was gunned down on the steps of a residence and pronounced dead on the scene. The man in the photograph is believed to be the last person to have spoken to the victim.

The individual in the photograph is NOT wanted for the Murder at this time, He's simply "person of interest." The person circled in the photo is the person we would like to speak to.

Homicide Detective Melanie Dillon is in charge of the investigation.
