Saints dealt good, bad news with injuries, make roster moves

The Saints were dealt some good and bad news on the injury front and made some roster moves on Monday.

Wide receiver Marques Colston and cornerback Patrick Robinson both came off PUP and practiced on a limited basis Monday. Seneca Wallace also returned to the practice field.

On the flip side, wide receivers Andy Tanner (shoulder) and Joe Morgan (knee) were both held out. Coach Sean Payton said Morgan is seeking a second opinion on his injury, which could indicate a longer absence.

Linebackers Jonathan Vilma and Eric Martin were also held out.

The Saints also signed wide receiver Steve Breaston and re-signed wide receiver Brent Leonard. To make room for those roster spots, they waived kicker Jose Maltos and waived/inured Chris Givens.
