Woman arrested for stabbing death of man

New Orleans, La. - A 21 year-old woman is arrested after police say she stabbed a man to death early Monday morning.

It happened just after midnight in the 4000 block of Eden Street. Police say 21 year-old Lynette Carter stabbed the 45 year-old man to death after the two were involved in an altercation.

Officers arrived on scene and found the victim inside his residence suffering from a single stab wound to his body.  He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Carter remained on scene and confessed to police.   

She was booked with Second Degree Murder.
