New Orleans Police continue search for Canal Street jewelry store thief


New Orleans, La. - The NOPD continues their search for a suspect who stole two Rolex watches from a Canal Street jewelry store.

According to the NOPD, a man entered Jack Sutton Fine Jewelry on Tuesday August 7, 2013 around 11am.

The suspect requested to see Rolex watches because he wanted to buy a Rolex watch as a gift. 

He then asked the clerk if he could compare two watches.  The sales clerk gave the man both watches, which were placed onto his wrist.  Once both watches were on his wrist, he ran out of the store and was able get away with both watches.  

The watches that were stolen were a Rolex Submariner oyster bracelet with blue dial and blue bezel, valued at $34,250.00 and a1998 Rolex platinum with day and date valued at $42,000.
