New Orleans firefighters battle two-alarm fire in Broadmoor neighborhood

New Orleans -- New Orleans firefighters battled a two-alarm fire in the Broadmoor neighborhood. The fire damaged a home in the 3800 block of Napoleon Ave. 

An NOFD spokesman says that the first call came in around 11:39 a.m. It was upgraded to a two-alarm fire at 12:01 p.m. and was considered under control at 12:18 p.m.

No injuries were reported and investigators determined that the cause of the fire was cooking-related. Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the kitchen and the attic.
