Police seek suspect in CBD robbery attempt

New Orleans, La. - Police are looking for a man in connection with an attempted robbery last Saturday in the CBD.

The incident occurred in the 500 block of Gravier Street at about 10:20 p.m.. Police said the  suspect and another man walked up behind the victim and struck him in the face, shattering  the bones around his right eye.

The suspect demanded the victim's property but the victim refused. After a struggle, both subjects fled in the direction of Camp Street, then unknown.

The suspect was last seen wearing a white shirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111. Callers may remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest and indictment.
