Recycling Crayola Crayons into fuel

New Orleans -- The Crayola Crayon company is partnering with New York Clean Energy Company "JBI" for the "Colorcycle Initiative". Under the program, people recycle their Crayola markers, which are shipped to JBI. The company then melts the markers and compresses them in a machine to create clean fuel.

Crayola does not make a profit off of the initiative. So far, about 600 schools around the country are involved.
