FBI investigates CBD bank robbery

New Orleans, La. - The FBI is investigating a bank robbery in the CBD.

An FBI spokesperson says the Crescent Bank & Trust on Poydras Street was robbed around 10:15am.

The suspect entered the location and approached a teller window. While he did not produce a handgun, he did give a note to the teller demanding money. He left the bank with an undetermined amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a white male, in his mid-50s, with a slender-average build, wearing a gray long-sleeved shirt, blue jeans, reading glasses, white tennis shoes and a dark baseball cap with a fleur de lis logo.

He left the bank on foot in the direction of Rampart Street.

The Metropolitan Orleans Bank Security Association (MOBSA) is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of this bank robber.
