Man wanted for robbing Gentilly bank


New Orleans -- Authorities are investigating a robbery that occurred at a Gentilly Bank. The incident occurred Tuesday at 1:18 p.m. at the Liberty Bank branch located in the 3000 block of Gentilly Blvd.

Police say that the suspect gave the teller a note demanding money. He exited the bank with an unknown amount of money. 

The suspect is described as a white man, six-feet tall, with a thin build. The man is in his early fifties with a gray and white beard. He was wearing a baseball cap, blue t-shirt and blue jeans. He left the bank and fled on foot in the direction of Elysian Fields.
