LSU has strong first half against Kent St.

Senior quarterback Zach Mettenberger threw for 232 yards and a pair of scores in the first half, as the LSU Tigers raced out to a 31-10 lead.

Jarvis Landry hauled in three receptions for 67 yards and the two touchdowns.

Running back Jeremy Hill started the game and tallied 117 yards and two scores.

Defensively, LSU held Kent State to 105 yards.

Odell Beckham Jr. added four catches for 71 yards.

LSU had 358 yards through two quarters.
