Tropical system moving into southern Gulf of Mexico

Scattered showers are on tap for Thursday with an increase in rain coverage by Friday and especially Saturday as a Gulf low become a bit better organized over the next several days

This surge of moisture coupled with an arriving cold front will create a wet start to the weekend.

The upper trough pushing the cold front through will deepen and send cooler and drier air into the Gulf coast by Sunday.

Most of the tropical rainfall will then be sent eastward over Florida.
