Man, woman found shot to death in Larose

New Orleans -- Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Deputies are investigating a shooting that left one man and one woman dead. Investigators are working to determine when the shooting occurred. Authorities received the call Sunday around 11:45 a.m. The victims have been identified as 41-year-old Nikki Landry and 54-year-old Harry Lefort.

Police say that responding officers arrived on the scene at the Westside Apartments on W. 4th St. in Larose, to find both individuals shot multiple times. A small amount of narcotics was found on the scene. Investigators are working to determine who is responsible for this incident as well as a motive. Police believe that this is not a murder-suicide, nor a robbery. Police say that Lefort and Landry did know each other.

The Jefferson Parish Coroner's Office will perform the autopsies.
