Gunman sought in Algiers bank robbery

New Orleans, La. -  A search is underway into a bank robbery that happened Thursday morning in Algiers. According to the FBI, a man held up the the Capital One Bank located at 3800 General Degaulle Drive shortly after 9 am Thursday morning.

The suspect reportedly entered the bank, then brandished a black hand gun. He approached a teller window demanding money. He then left with an undetermined amount of US Currency.

The bank robber is described as a black male, dark skin, in his mid-late 20s, and approximately 5'8"-5'10" tall, with a slim build. He was wearing a dark shirt and dark pants.

He was last seen heading toward the West Bank Expressway on General Degaulle on foot.

The Metropolitan Orleans Bank Security Association (MOBSA) is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of this bank robber.
