NOPD investigating three overnight shootings


NEW ORLEANS - The New Orleans Police Department is investigating three separate shootings that occurred last night, all within ten minutes of each other.

The first shooting happened at the intersection of Ulloa and S. Solomon St. where an unknown male sustained a gunshot wound to the chest and was driven to the hospital. He is currently in critical condition.

The second shooting took place in the 200 block of North Robertson St. where a 16-year-old male was shot in the leg. He is currently in the hospital in stable condition.

The third shooting happened in the 7900 block of Old Gentilly Road. A woman in her thirties was shot in the leg and taken the hospital where she is in stable condition.

All three of these shooting occurred in about ten minutes of one another from about 1:17 a.m. to 1:27 a.m.

NOPD detectives are currently investigating all three shootings.
