Tropical wave forecast to move into Gulf of Mexico

A tropical wave in the Caribbean is forecasted to move into the Gulf of Mexico later tonight or Thursday.

This disturbance's future remains very uncertain with regards to development and future track.

Models range from near SE Louisiana to S FLorida.

A cold front approaching for the weekend will play a major role in where the wave will end up.

According to the National Hurricane Center, strong upper-level winds are likely to limit development as the system approaches the northern gulf of by the weekend.

An Air Force hurricane hunter aircraft is scheduled to investigate the disturbance Wednesday afternoon.
