Drew Brees named NFC Offensive Player of the Week

New Orleans -- New Orleans Saints Quarterback Drew Brees has been named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week. Brees was named the recipient of the weekly award after his stellar Monday Night performance against the Miami Dolphins, where he threw for 413 yards and four touchdowns in the Saints 38-17 win.

This is the second straight week that a Saint has won the award. Tight end Jimmy Graham received the award last week after his performance against the Arizona Cardinals in week 3.

According to the New Orleans Saints website, this is the 15th time Brees has won the award, since joining the Saints in 2006. Tom Brady has the most Player of the Week awards with 16.
