NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Tropical Storm

Karen has stalled but is expected to resume moving north and be near or over portions of southeastern Louisiana on Saturday night and Sunday.

The National Hurricane Center says in an advisory that

Karen hasn't moved for a few hours. But forecasters continue to expect it to turn toward the northeast by Saturday night, then speed up into Sunday. They say the storm is likely to pass near the coasts of Mississippi and Alabama on Sunday.

Karen is about 130 miles (205 kilometers) south-southwest of Morgan City, La., and about 190 miles (305 kilometers) west-southwest of the mouth of the Mississippi River.
