Couple robbed at gunpoint in the Marigny

New Orleans, La - Officers with the New Orleans Police Department are looking for a gunman who held up two people in the Marigny neighborhood Wednesday night.

According to information released by the NOPD, a man and a woman, both 23 years old, were near the corner of Dauphine and Spain Street around 11:30 PM, when a man approached them armed with a gun.

The suspect, described by police as a black male, ordered the couple to get down on the ground.  The victims complied. The gunman then reportedly took off with some of their belongings.  

These are the only details being provided at this time. Fox 8 News will provide updates as information becomes available.
