New Orleans, La. - A teenager is behind bars after police say he robbed two men at gunpoint who were renovating an Uptown home.
The NOPD says Thursday around 11:30am, 18 year-old Jwan Brown went inside the house in the 4200 block of South Derbigny Street, held the men at gunpoint and then made off with their wallets and a cell phone.
One of the victims called police and within 2 minutes responding officers arrived at the scene. A perimeter was set up in the neighborhood. A K-9 located Brown hiding under a house in the 3300 block of Louisiana Avenue Parkway.
He was positively identified as the gunman and taken into custody.
While being interviewed by detectives, Brown confessed to robbing a third man at gunpoint who was also doing renovation work on a house Uptown. That incident happened on October 13th at a residence in the 3700 block of South Roman Street.
