Police seek Algiers woman for domestic assault

NEW ORLEANS - Police are searching for a woman who threatened to shoot her boyfriend after suspecting him of cheating.

According to the victim,  Ariel McDougle went through his cell phone and saw he was talking to other women. McDougle then destroyed several items inside the victim's home before arming herself with his handgun. McDougle aimed the gun at her boyfriend and threatened to kill him, but he managed to wrestle the gun away from her and she ran away at around 8 a.m. this morning.

Anyone who sees McDougle or knows her whereabouts is asked to notify Detective Tianay Marshall at 504-658-6040 or 658-6447.
