Nagin trial delayed until January

New Orleans, La. - The federal corruption trial of former Mayor Ray Nagin has been delayed until January 27th. The original trial was set to begin Monday.

Nagin faces a 21 count indictment accusing him of bribery, money laundering, conspiracy and tax violations.

Earlier this week, Nagin's attorney requested 13 subpoenas for witnesses to testify in the case.

The prosecution previously sent out subpoenas including one to FOX 8's Lee Zurik.
