Krewe of Boo brings street closures and no-parking zones downtown tonight

NEW ORLEANS - The return of Krewe of Boo will bring road closures and no parking zones tonight as the parade makes its way through downtown.

The Krewe of Boo parade will form at the corner of Elysian Fields and Decatur Street at 5 p.m. this evening, then start rolling at 6 p.m.

The parade's route takes the krewe down elysian fields until they turn right on to North Peters Street towards uptown. From there the parade will continue on Dumaine Street and then take Decatur to N. Peters eventually turning on to Canal Street. The parade will continue down Canal until it can make a U-turn at Dauphine Street and turn right onto Tchoupitoulas Street. The parade will continue onto St. Joseph Street and eventually turn onto Convention Center Boulevard where it will proceed to Mardi Gras World and disband.

The City has also set up no parking zones for Krewe of Boo. Drivers will not be able to park on the river-bound side of Elysian Fields Avenue between N. Peters and Royal Streets from noon until 8 p.m. and on both sides of N. Peters Street between Esplanade Avenue and Conti Street from 4 to 8 p.m.
