Man found stabbed to death in Gentilly

New Orleans, La. - The NOPD is investigating a morning murder in Gentilly.

Police say a 24 year-old man was found stabbed to death in the 3300 block of Belfort street around.

A police spokesman says the New Orleans Fire Department responded to a fire at the residence around 8:30am. Once the fire was out, they discovered the victim. He was pronounced dead on scene.

The victim has not been identified. The coroner's office will conduct an autopsy.
