NOPD searches for missing boy

NEW ORLEANS - Police are searching for a boy who went missing in the fourth district after telling his mother he was going to McDonalds.

Lawrence Simmons was last seen on Nov. 8 at about 4:30 p.m. According to his mother, Simmons said he was going to McDonalds to us the Wi-Fi service. Simmon's mother attempted to call him at about 9 p.m., but his phone went straight to voicemail and he has not responded since.

Simmons is described as a 16-year-old black male, about 5'06" tall, weighing about 130 lbs. with black hair, last seen in a dark turquoise shirt with black jeans and a navy blue hooded jacket with a gray interior.

Police are asking that anyone with information on Lawrence Simmons contact Detective Jessica K. Williams at 658-6045.
