More than $800,000 owed in delinquent child support

Baton Rouge, La. - The Department of Children and Family Services releases its list of Louisiana's "most wanted, "all non-custodial parents who owe nearly $ 870,000 dollars in child support.

Of the 18, more than a half-dozen are from the New Orleans Metro area.

Near the top of the list is 46 year-old Jerald Douglas from Marrero who owes more than $75,000.

Although the "most wanted" poster represents the worst offenders, Louisiana's unpaid child support totals more than $1.3 billion.

DCFS hopes the poster will bring in tips on the current locations of the delinquent payors.

In the past, the attention prompted some to come forward and pay up.
