Metairie man admits to raping his daughters

Metairie, La. - A Metairie father faces aggravated rape charges after allegedly admitting to raping his daughters.

Detectives say the information came to light after one of the girls told a school counselor about the alleged abuse.
The 11 year-old told the counselor the abuse had been going since she was six years-old. She claims her father also sexually assaulted her older sister.
The girls' father, 32, was booked with two counts of aggravated rape.
Their mother, 31, was booked with accessory after the fact and cruelty to a juvenile for allegedly knowing about the abuse but not doing anything.

Authorities have not released the identity of the father in order to protect the identity of the victims.
