Man beaten, robbed on Bourbon Street


NEW ORLEANS - Police are looking for two men who beat and robbed a man Thursday in the French Quarter.

Police said the victim was walking the 600 block of Bourbon Street when he was approached from behind by two black males. One of the males stated, "Hey, give me your money." When the victim turned around, he was punched in the face.

When he came to, the victim realized that his iPhone 5 and wallet had been taken.

During the investigation, Eighth District detectives learned that someone had tried to use one of the victim's debit cards. Detectives were able to obtain videos of the subjects trying to use the card before leaving the location in a dark-colored vehicle.
