Police search for French Quarter gunman

New Orleans, La. - New Orleans police detectives have released a composite sketch of a man wanted for pepper spraying, then pulling out a gun and robbing a victim in the French Quarter early Monday morning.

According to the New Orleans Police Department, the robbery happened shortly after midnight at the corner of Dauphine and St. Louis streets.  Police say the man approached the victim and attacked the person with pepper spray.  Then, police say he pulled out a small caliber semi-automatic pistol and grabbed the victim's wallet and fled.

Crimestoppers is offering up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of the suspect.  You do not have to give your name or testify to receive the cash reward.
