Woman robbed at gunpoint in Metairie

Metairie, La. - The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office is searching for a suspect who robbed at woman at gunpoint last weekend.

A spokesman for the JPSO says it happened Sunday around 10pm in the 3200 block of Edenborn Avenue.

Police say the victim was parking her vehicle at an apartment complex when the suspect approached her, started a conversation, and then produced a gun.

The suspect demanded the victim give up her property, which included several credit cards.

Police say the victim's credit cards were used at businesses in the near-by area.  Detectives were able to obtain video surveillance of a male, fitting the description of the suspect, using the victim's credit cards.  

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 20 to 24 years of age, 5'3" to 5'5", 140 to 150 pounds. He has a dark complexion with a scar above his left ear, a lazy or floating eye and short black hair.
