Man shot, girl grazed by stray bullet in Central City


NEW ORLEANS - A man was shot in the chest and a 7-year-old girl sustained a graze wound Wednesday night in Central City.

The shooting happened just before 7 p.m. in the 2200 block of St. Andrew Street.

New Orleans police spokesman Officer Frank Robertson III said the girl was grazed in her side by a stray bullet that entered her home. She was taken to the hospital in good condition.

The 33-year-old man is in critical condition.
