Pelicans fall short in San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO - The  Pelicans dropped a 112-93 decision in San Antonio Monday night in a game that was more lopsided than the final score indicates.

The first and only Pelicans' lead in the game was at 4-2.  Other than that, it was all San Antonio, which shot 54 percent from the floor as opposed to The Pelicans at 38 percent.

Manu Ginobli led the San Antonio charge with 16 points, one of 12 Spurs to score in double figures.  All but one San Antonio player scored a point in the game.

Jrue Holiday paced the Pelicans with 12 points while chipping in 9 rebounds.

The Pelicans are right back in action Tuesday night with Golden State in town for a 7 p.m. tip-off at the arena.
