Family of Henry Glover says they'll meet with the coroner Monday

NEW ORLEANS - The family of a man who was shot and killed by a New Orleans police officer in the chaotic aftermath of Hurricane Katrina said that they will meet with the coroner Monday to demand that he classify the death.

The family of Henry Glover made the announcement in a news release Friday. On Wednesday, the former officer who admits he shot Glover was acquitted of violating Glover's civil rights in a federal retrial of the case.

Former officer David Warren said he fired at Glover because he believed Glover was armed and that his own life was in danger.

Glover's family said once his death is classified, they will meet with the Orleans Parish district attorney to demand the prosecution of Glover's murderer.
