UPDATE: 18 year-old male found stuffed in trunk of car in Slidell

UPDATE: New Orleans police say the body of an African-American male found stuffed inside the trunk of a car in Slidell was 18 years-old. He was killed in Gentilly at the intersection of Peoples and Jasmine Streets. The New Orleans Coroner's office has identified the victim as Kenneth Young.

NEW ORLEANS - Authorities believe someone killed a teen in New Orleans and then stuffed his body in the trunk of a car that was found Sunday on the Northshore.

Slidell police said the teen apparently had been shot several times.

Officers said neighbors near a wooded area on Teddy Avenue between 9th and 10th streets called to report a suspicious car in the woods.

Slidell police said there was a large amount of blood inside the car.

The case has been handed over to New Orleans police, who have not yet released any information about their investigation.
