NEW ORLEANS -  Orleans Parish sheriff's deputies are searching for an inmate who scaled a razor-wire fence Tuesday at the Conchetta facility on Tulane Avenue during an exercise period.

Deputies said inmate Sean Andry, 46, apparently sustained injuries from the razor wire.

Andry was originally charged with theft over $500, possession of stolen property over $500 and resisting an officer. His bond was set at $15,000. California authorities also issued a detainer.

An internal investigation is being conducted into the actions of the deputy and supervisor on duty at the time of the incident.

Anyone with information on Andry's whereabouts is asked to call the Sheriff's Office at (504) 827-8505.
