World War II Museum to add $3 million bridge

New Orleans, La. - You can expect to see new construction to improve the World War II Museum.

According to our partners at New Orleans CityBusiness, the museum plans to build a $3 million pedestrian bridge designed to connect its galleries on each side of Andrew Higgins Drive.

The bridge is part of an ongoing $300 million expansion project the museum began in 2005.

The entire project will quadruple the size of the original museum.

Construction of the bridge should take about a year.
