LSU Basketball survives late Texas Tech run to win, 71-69

Lubbock, Tx. - Texas Tech outscored LSU 7-0 to close Wednesday's game but they needed to make it 9-0 as the Tigers(7-2) triumphed, 71-69.

LSU looked to have iced a victory at Texas Tech when senior Shavon Coleman hit a three-pointer to put the Tigers up by eight with four minutes left but the Red Raiders mounted a vicious comeback and had the final possession with ten seconds left.  Senior Robert Turner's three point attempt fell short as the game clock expired.

Anthony Hickey led LSU in scoring with 16 points and was one of four Tigers with double digits. Johnny Jones' team is back in Baton Rouge Saturday hosting UAB at 5 pm.
