Mandeville police seek suspect in holiday credit card theft


MANDEVILLE, La. - Police are searching for a woman who they believe stole someone credit card and has charge over $2000 to it.

According to police, a customer at Albertson's Supermarket had her wallet stolen. The wallet was inside of the victim's open purse inside her shopping basket. 

By 10 p.m. that night, the suspect had charged over $2000 to the victims credit card at the nearby Walmart and Walgreens, mostly purchasing gift cards.

The suspect was captured on surveillance cameras using the credit card. Police describe her a black woman with a heavy build, between the ages of 30 and 40 with a medium complexion and long black hair. She was wearing a light colored hat, purple pantsuit and a multi-colored scarf at the time.
