Pair wanted for Gentilly armed robbery


New Orleans -- NOPD Detectives are asking for the public's help in identifying a pair of suspects wanted for an armed robbery in Gentilly. The incident occurred Saturday around 5:20 p.m. at the intersection of Press and Old Gentilly Blvd.

Police say that as both of the men approached the victim, one of the men pulled out a gun and demanded money. The suspects left the scene with the victims money. They fled westbound on Gentilly Blvd. in an SUV.

The first suspect is described as a dark-complexion African-American man, 5'9"-6' in height, 230-240 lbs. He is clean shaven with a short curly top. He was last seen wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt. He could be in possession of a silver handgun, possibly a .38 or .357. The second suspect is described as a dark-complexion African American man, 5'11"-6'2" in height, weighing 165-175 pounds. He was last seen wearing a light colored sweatshirt, a brown suede hat with "floppy ears".
